The Reason

Welcome to Stephanie Writes, I am the Queen of threads but now it’s time to expand my talent to a different platform. I will still be serving up my threads but I want to use those to focus on one particular topic that I have covered each week in this blog. I am Stephanie, a girl who likes to write, basketball lover and so much more that you’ll learn about in time.

I grew up playing basketball and softball, I was pretty much my daddy's son. My father only has daughters so I was the one who was into sports right along with him. Even after I stopped playing sports I still was very locked in to basketball. I attended The University of Akron where I recieved my Bachelors degree where I majored in Sports Management During my time in college I spent a season working with our football team but please don't ask me anything about the game at all.

If you are new here and haven’t read a single one of my threads here's a quick rundown of why I started this blog. I became a Warriors fan due to Stephen Curry, like most of us who weren't day ones. You can call me a bandwagon as y'all like to say since I wasn't born a Warriors fan, but I grew to love the entire organization. I was fighting for my life against the Clevelanders including my family to support them during those GSW v Cavs playoff series and had to deal with 2016, but I'm not going to relive that... I deleted it from my mind.

Jordan Poole has always been fun to watch and just an entertaining personality even when we were bad... yes I'm on the team so WE. 2021-2022 was his breakout season and we all know and I have been a huge fan ever since. Between his electrifying play and his charisma, how could you not become a fan. I saw a player that once Steph and Klay decided to pack it up, the team would be in good hands. 2022 showed the world the type of player he was and being that he wasn't even in his prime yet we just knew we had a superstar on our hands. Once Jordan was traded to the Wizards I went right along with him and I will go wherever he goes. Throughout this journey following year 2 with the Wizards I will share more about why I love his game and why he is my favorite player.

My reason for doing threads on twitter was simply because I was fed up. Too many ilinformed, non watching, loud and wrong people on the app doing anything they could to discredit his talent. How can you have such strong opinions on a player you don't even watch? It began to look like a smear campaign and I won't say any names but I have one who I can think of orchestrating it. I wanted to firstly spread positivity attached to his name as well as educated people on what was really going on the best way I know how to,

Jordan faced challenges with the Wizards due to being played out of position, lack of consistency, coaching and lineup changes. So many things were happening that you would not know if you didn't watch. Transitioning from a winning team like the Warriors to the struggling Wizards team is an extremely difficult task in it self. Despite the initial struggles, the way the season ended for Jordan, I am extremely optimistic.

We are just about less than 2weeks before preseason and 1 month before the season starts and I’ve really been anticipating it since last season ended. I just have a feeling things will be amazing. I have really high aspirations for Jordan this season including Most Improved Player and All-Star.

Even though last season as a whole was extremely frustrating for fans of Jordan, we ended on a bright note. I really feel like we are going to get the pleasure of seeing the Jordan play elite basketball. I won’t even say 2022 Jordan Poole because I truly believe his ceiling is higher than that and we would be discrediting the work he’s put in to improve his game by wanting him to be stuck in the past.

From the glimpes of what we've seen this offseason Jordan has been putting in work. He looks like he’s in a great space and unlocked a new level of his game. Jordan looks like he's coming to shut up every single person that doubted him. I don't know if he keeps receipts but I do and don’t switch up once you see him shining on the court with giving that apology as loud as the disrespect was.

I hope you guys are ready for this season and to embark on this journey with me. I'm excited to grow my brand. The 😈 is coming.
