🧵This part of Jordan's presser stood out to me, he's mentioned (not the 1st time) how he thrives. He mentions that he's been played out of position (more than 1/2 the yr), so he was sacrificing his success to be a team player. Why has it taken this long to play him correctly? What's the purpose of this? to develop him more off ball? If that's the case why not do a combination of how he thrives and then add in some more off ball action. I don't think that throwing a player out there doing something completely different from how they succeed, how they were able to help contribute to a championship works. It is perfectly fine if you would like a player to add to their game because he is young, so of course he can become a more complete player but to throw them into a situation like a fish out of water is not it.
Jordan already is in a completely different environment than the Warriors, with completely different teammates so why ask him to sacrifice so much, but not the others? So when he said, in that article that he's done everything that they asked of him, he has. They wanted him to commit on defense and he's absolutely done that, he's improved with his turnovers, he's sacrificed how he plays for the team, for some players, that aren't better than him. He's kept quiet, and he still supports his teammates. The organization has chosen to play him out of position, and the fans wonder why he struggling. They refused to acknowledge that there's a lot of things that he is up against, and he still managed to find some sort of way. I hope he continues to thrive because he definitely deserves to be with the team that values him!!
